Re: First Person Shooters (Split from New Acquisitions Thread)

DPX: Sure you can see your own eyes move! Just tilt your head in front of the mirror. No, you can't. You might THINK you're seeing your eyes move, but you can't. You're seeing your eyes in one spot and then the next spot, but that's not the same thing as seeing your eyes actually move. Not unlike a...

Also check in the HTTPS-Only Mode setting under Privacy & Security tab of the preferences. Make sure you do not have the "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode" checked.

Re: Report forum or site issues.

Why are people trying to connect with HTTPS? There are no redirects to HTTPS or anything like it. Should work with just HTTP.

Re: The Mysterious King's Quest IV Cover.

Could ask on the Sierra groups that have some of the devs and artists like the Sierra Alum group who did the concept image and if there is a higher res version.

I like tinkering and figuring things out.
Sometimes there is value in being that kid that takes clocks apart to see how they work. Try the installer and tinker with the installation to see how I did it.

Re: Forum access error under Firefox 91.0.1 & 91.0.2

I believe what's causing my issue for my sites and that error is my firewall (ESET). Why not just use the Windows firewall? It seems to be pretty good. It catches new programs trying to access the internet the very first time and asks you if you want to give it permission. and never bothers you aga...

Re: King’s Quest I-IV in DOSBox!

There is no configuration for AGI games. You have to set Tandy in the dosbox.conf. And so you know, while there is an AGI version of KQ4 it was never included with any of the collections. For KQ4 what you want is to use Roland sound with Munt. But then, the SHP installers will already set these game...

Re: Forum access error under Firefox 91.0.1 & 91.0.2

Works OK for me with 91.0 and 91.0.2. Use http instad of https. I do not have https setup for the site. If I decide to keep the site going I may have to eventually go https, but the site already costs me enough money without paying for more.

Re: Sorcerian Music.

The game was developed by the Japanese company Falcom, so not so much of a fantasy RPG, but more of a Japanese side-scroller action/arcade game with a fantasy RPG theme.
