Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Tawm, from the article you quoted (in The Hill): BuzzFeed News noted that a scene from “Fantasia,” however, has been edited out because it depicts a dark-skinned centaur named Sunflower taking care of lighter-skinner centaurs. “Song of the South,” a post-Civil War story of a young white boy who mov...

Another issue I've heard about is changes made to the aspect ratios of some series. Simpsons fans are upset about this. I wonder how pervasive it is.
Well, I can tell you: X-Men: The Animated Series, Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends and Gargoyles are all in their original ratio.

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Now, I have heard that Disney have been editing/censoring movies on Disney+ which I think is ridiculously stupid and could start an avalanche of movie censoring going forward that would ruin classics. Movies should be left as they are for better or worse. It's where we came from and we should remem...

I wonder how fun it'd be to reprogram Faceman for BASIC.
You'd need something, like what Collector does for the installers, to make it run (because of the limitations in DOS, if you compile the .BAS to an .EXE)

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

I hate basic. It gives me a headache just trying to read it. I started on Visual Basic, but have successfully purged it out of my head a long time ago, thank God. C# is fun. Why.... Wait.... Why do you hate basic, Collector? :? Maybe it's just me - but the first programming language I used was BASI...

(Disney +) The Mandalorian (Potential Spoilers)

I may be the only person on here who got Disney+ - but in the event I wasn't - thoughts on the Star Wars series The Mandalorian?

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

Visual Basic is pretty simple. :P Mind you, Tawm, it's not really for the kind of games you have in mind ... but I used it to create a pretty smart program that played Tic-Tac-Toe and never lost. Mind you, this was in the late 90s ... :P  Never underestimate the type of games I enjoy! My VERY ...

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Well, I could go on about how much I enjoyed The Mandalorian ... for several hours. And it's only the first episode. I love that there's things on there that - for whatever reason - never got released on VHS/DVD/BluRay/etc - such as "Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends." There's also shows on there I h...

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

I remember using an engine called AGT (Adventure Game Toolkit) back in the day. Easier than implementing my own parser. It's been released into freeware now. Downloaded Final Soul and had a quick play with it at lunch time today. Your short list of single letter commands is interesting, because it ...

What did you write it in?
QBasic _eons_ ago.

To be honest, I could probably redo the whole program if I had some spare time on my hands. It's not overly complicated.

I wish I'd continued in college to take Programming to have a... more up to date... programming language to do it in.
