Re: My Black Cauldron playthrough

- There’s one screen where you can hop around on stones in a lake. It serves no purpose that I can determine, except perhaps for practice in the bog. When you reach the highest rock (which generated a message), you can then hop to shore and then hop around the shore. You can’t do this until after l...

How will we get access to the accounts ?
Good question!

October 1st, I am going to create the accounts and PM the owners their password.

Updated my first post to reflect this info too. :)

Re: My Black Cauldron playthrough

Excellent! I remember enjoying The Black Cauldron way back when - I think I've only replayed it a few times, eons ago - which is why I made my Let's Play Sierra Games channel - which I have been pretty lame about - I am still playing KQVI... and have been off and on, for months now.

That's you in the picture, I guess, Tawmis? ;) What's the jacket you're wearing - it looks like an old British sea-captain's jacket...
That's me, and it's an old British sea-captain's jacket. ;)

Um, no...? I thought The Bard's Tale was a very old 80s game?
It was! They re-released the first three as a part of the Kickstarter.

New one is done now - I've downloaded it, but not played it yet.

Re: What are you playing now?

I'm playing Hero-U ... and I ran into problems. (Please see the thread down in the QfG forum, below). Any help would be appreciated, if you know the answer and can spare the time. If not, feel free to leave some boos. I don't mind drinking a little boos. ;) Datadog can probably help when he pops ba...

Re: What are you playing now?

No. When you use the manual install as Collector suggests on the GK1 help page, you get a significantly lower quality than when you use the installer. There are still the occasional points where the game runs slower than it should, but on the whole it runs normally, without upping the cycles, witho...

Re: What are you playing now?

Installed the game manually (I now have 2 GK1s on my computer). The Installer version has speed problems that become too much to handle at the Museum, South-West Jackson Square (with the tap-dancing kid and the vendors), the police office, the entire snake mound and the voodoo hounfour. So far I'm ...

As I suspected, the two computers in the shed (which have been in there for like 10 years now), did not have 5.25" drives...

But I figured I'd share the photos... so you can see what happens when spiders move in...

Re: The D&D Corner!

This one happened a long time ago (early 2nd edition) so I don't remember the whole thing or the actual game we were playing, but I remember the details of this particular incident. We were fighting a giant next to a temple. One of our players was playing a minotaur. Big character. I had the bright...

Re: The D&D Corner!

:D How cool. Now I wish I could DM. (I only DMed once, and that was with a pre-built 3.5ED adventure, running for one player and me). :| Never DMed again. Never played D&D again, either. Just couldn't find a group within distance. :| DMing is my favorite thing to do. I'd rather DM than be a player....

Re: The D&D Corner!

Oh, thanks for this! This reminds me... So... where do I start? So my former boss of my current job (his name is Dom), left to move to Seattle with his wife (who got a great job with Disney). So, me, him and his wife all used to play an MMO called EverQuest (I didn't play with Dom and his wife, we j...
