Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

Lol never can figure out why everyone hated Spock's Brain. I loved it as a kid. I thought it was fascinating.

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Oh I had heard that they DID cut scenes from Dumbo. I guess they went back on that or it was a false rumour?

Another thing I read they also did was get rid of a fake blooper scene from Toy Story 2 where Stinky Pete is promising two Barbie dolls a role in the next movie.

Re: Programing Games

I meant right on my Tandy CoCo3. :) But as long as it's all coded, I suppose porting it to DOS in Basic would be neat too if I could get it to work. No idea what's involved there.

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Now, I have heard that Disney have been editing/censoring movies on Disney+ which I think is ridiculously stupid and could start an avalanche of movie censoring going forward that would ruin classics. Movies should be left as they are for better or worse. It's where we came from and we should rememb...

Re: Programing Games

I started in SCI scripting :P then learned C and C++ after that because they're similarly complicated. I've never done anything in BASIC, even though it's also used natively on the Tandy CoCo3 which I still have. I wonder how fun it'd be to reprogram Faceman for BASIC. I once wrote a game launcher i...

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

I wrote a game in C++ with ASCII graphics called FACEMAN. The goal is to collect all the gems in as few moves as possible. You use the arrow keys but also the standard word processing keys Pgup, Pgdn, Home, End to move to the far edges of the screen instantly. Also 'C' puts you in the center. Simple...

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

That's certainly a lot of content. Content I miss. Enough to turn my head. I may get it eventually. Also, I've heard really good things about The Mandalorian, which even Disney Star Wars dissenters are enjoying quite a bit.

Re: Summer Daze at Hero-U Kickstarter.

Ah yes I guess you have to be a backer. Sorry, I was under the mistaken impression for some reason that anyone could leave general comments, but only backers (people who "backed" the project with a pledge) could comment on campaign updates. Perhaps email Transolar Games then. Or hop on their Discord...

That sucks. I haven't even tried the demo myself. Maybe leave a comment on the Kickstarter comments page and they can get you some tips?

Re: Summer Daze at Hero-U Kickstarter.

The Summer Daze Kickstarter just closed a little under an hour ago and we made ~6k over our goal! We were worried there for a while but we made like $14k just yesterday alone and it spiked right up. People really came out to support it and we couldn't be more thrilled! We also made two stretch goals...

Re: DOSBox ECE + Pixel Perfect.

Yeah. I haven't found a good way to resize videos in nearest neighbor. Always puts a bilinear filtering on it. And then converting to x264 from the Zero Motion Block Video codec makes it even worse.

Re: DOSBox ECE + Pixel Perfect.

Screenshots usually don't either in vanilla DOSBox, so that's a bonus itself.
