Re: First Person Shooters (Split from New Acquisitions Thread)

I suggest that you try to look up some videos of FOV settings to see if it works for you, MI. I haven't seen much of it, because it didn't work for me. Oh I don't have a problem with motion sickness. I had suggested changing FOV settings for people who do because I had heard it helped some people a...

If you're watching your eyes in the mirror and tilting your head you're just seeing your head move. Your eyes are staying in one spot. But I get the joke. :D

Re: Goblins 2 Music.

Very different! Goblins 3 floppy's Adlib soundtrack is actually my favourite in the whole series. Gobliiins 1 floppy also has a single Adlib song for the logo screen (also different from the CD version) but that's it. No other music throughout the game.

Re: Goblins 2 Music.

If you're not planning it already, you should do one for the music from the floppy version too which is Adlib and totally different (ditto for Goblins 3).

Some talented artist on DeviantArt should recreate this. I'd even pay for it if it were close enough.

First Person Shooters (Split from New Acquisitions Thread)

It's a first person shooter, but beyond that it's nothing like Doom. It's more like Half-Life. For you and others who get nauseas playing first person games, have you tried changing FOV (field of view) settings? I've heard this helps tremendously for some people allegedly. Specifically, increasing i...

Re: New Acquisitions Thread (image heavy)

Bought this for $6.00 CAD at a local thrift store (not even a chain). The box is empty it's just the jewel case floating around in there. But that's okay. For that price and the fact that it'll still look great on the shelf, I'm happy.

I've got fond memories of Pooyan, Zaxxon, Dungeons of Daggerath, Downland, and Super Pitfall (all on the Tandy CoCo3).

Re: King’s Quest I-IV in DOSBox!

If you want to play KQ4SCI with Tandy 3-voice you absolutely can. You just need the driver (which doesn't come with the version on the collection, unfortunately). Here's the driver. Unzip it to the game directory. Then edit the RESOURCE.CFG file also in the game folder and change the sound driver to...

Re: Space Quest IV Wallpapers

As my previous post stated, I died a lot already. I even got killed on Xenon by a flying robot which I never remember seeing. I thought the wandering zombie guy on the streets was the only issue you had to avoid. That's because they added the randomly wandering robot to the CD version. In the origi...

Re: Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2 wallpapers.

I have LoG1 but haven't played very much of it. Got it in an old Humble Bundle I think...or something. LoG2 looked cool with its multiple locales and outdoor areas. But I decided not to pursue it until I played through LoG1 and I just never have yet. Wasn't always my favourite game style anyway. But...
