Re: Avengers: EndGame [Spoilers]

I would think she would have to go back? Because if she doesn't go back, t hen she doesn't die "for Thanos" to get the Soul Gem . Which I would think, further make a mess of the time line. :) Warning: Me overthinking time travel is about to happen. [Overthinking] When both Nebulas "collide" in 2014...

Re: Avengers: EndGame [Spoilers]

How in Hades did you avoid spoilers for so long? I stopped visiting most of the internet. The only spoiler that sneaked through was the nano-gauntlet they use to house the Infinity Stones , and that was because of a toy commercial. Otherwise, Steve Rogers kissed his own daughter in Captain America:...

Re: Avengers: EndGame [Spoilers]

Nine weeks late to the party, but I finally got to see Endgame last night! Overall, really enjoyed it. Super-fun time travel heist, heavy tear-jerker moments, and some of the best acting the MCU has to offer. Mark Ruffalo's performance as Hulk is just a joy to watch (I still don't know why I laughed...

Re: Oxenfree

So here's me playing the game - and this is as far as I got before I fell in love and wanted to see if my wife wanted to play... And I think it shows the "horror" vibe (as datadog put it)... Like I said I don't know if it "gets worse" from here... but it feels very Gabriel Knight... more suspense/m...

Re: Oxenfree

I just played this game last week. Also got it free, from Epic Games. I really dig it too. The sound design is so creepy, and some of the set-pieces really had me on edge. It manages horror in a way I haven't seen before. Totally worth playing through, maybe once or twice to try out different dialog...

Re: The end of Commander Keen?

I have a question - who is Commander Keen? I've never heard of this! :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKHUOKVzo0Q It was an early 90's platform shooter, kind of like classic Duke Nukem, but for kids. The series was released as shareware, so it was a fairly common game to find in people's homes or...

Re: The end of Commander Keen?

And two: when did Commander Keen get a sister? :? Technically, she's his daughter. These are Keen's kids. The real question is: why did they turn it into a F2P puzzle platformer for mobile phones? I can see this as a side-release to a real game, but not the first foot forward you'd take ressurectin...

Re: Myst movie & TV show coming?

Myst would be surprisingly good as a series if they followed all the family drama from before and between the games. I hope the showrunners emerse themselves in the lore before they decide "audiences want more lever-pulling!" I mean, we have to be closer to good video game adaptations, right? *wishf...

Re: Disney Characters Drawn.

What if Disney Characters were drawn as realistic clothing models? I dig it. I remember seeing some of these ages ago. It's pretty cool that the artist has still been adding to these after all these years. I don't mind the "hyper-sexuality" as long as the designs are fun and creative, and details li...

Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

Next week - three new ideas, all thrown into a hat - rinse and repeat. Let me see what else a random word generator can come up with... This is a show about a funeral where a flock of birds steal somebody's credit card There will also be a ghost . (Nice! It's a ghost story after all!) This is true ...

Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

Lately, one of my late night go-tos whenever my son won't sleep is to put on an episode of "The Next Generation" on Netflix. And I've developed a newfound appreciation for how pleasantly chill and visionary the show really is. It may not be action-heavy, but it doesn't need to be since the show's wr...

Re: Game of Thrones [Spoilers]

I finished the show, and I'm only disappointed that it ended so predictably. Everything went full fan-fiction three seasons ago when they caught up with the books, so the ending didn't surprise or anger me like it did everyone else. Dani goes insane at last minute and becomes the Big Bad, check. Eve...

I love this so much.

The only finisher I can think of at the moment is a one-liner for Laura.
