The main thing that's supposed to trigger the wedding music is the revelation that the vizier has conspired to pit the islands against each other. When you inspected all the items in the treasury room, did you get the dialogue that stated that Alexander realized what the vizier was up to?

I gotta say, acknowledging Baggins, the pcjr version of KQ1 was a lot different than the later DOS version. I kinda like how you can watch it draw the background.
