Re: Tournament: Best Sierra Game Vacation! (Round 1)

1. King's Quest 1 (just to see Daventry in person) 2. King's Quest 4 (hold the ogres, trolls and sharks, please - but I can deal with the witches) 3. King's Quest 6 (Serenia would be nice, but who can resist the Green Isles?) 4. King's Quest 7 (I'd never want to leave Eldritch!) 5. Space Quest 1 6. ...

Re: The "MS Paint Your Favourite Games" Game

Very late to the party here, I know, but I had fun browsing all of these and thought I'd give it a whirl.

Re: Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

I've noticed the Mac version is far more prevalent than DOS. Sierra must've shipped more copies of the Mac release, I suppose. In any event, I'll continue to keep a lookout for the DOS version. The seller who lost them promised to contact me should the disks eventually turn up.

Re: Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

Unfortunately, I just got word from the seller that they've lost the disks, so I won't be getting the game after all right now. My search continues. Thank you anyway for your help.

Re: Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

The disc info reads:

MS-DOS/WIN 3.1
VER # 2.0
INT # 7.16.93

Is this the same one listed second under "Versions" at http://sciwiki.sierrahelp.com//index.ph ... Card_Games, or do the two missing zeros signify a difference?

Hoyle Classic Card Games (v2.0)

I've been looking high and low for this title and finally found a PC version listed on eBay. Just wanted to check in advance if anyone here has a copy (v2.0) in case any of the disks don't work upon arrival (the description says they do, but still). Naturally I will post proof of ownership once I ge...

KQ4 v. 1.000.111 - Music differences?

I don't personally own a copy of the original SCI release, but I'd read about the graphical and engine differences and was curious to see it in action, so found video of a playthrough. nIuRrNL-Jck https://youtu.be/nIuRrNL-Jck (EDITED: video didn't seem to imbed properly) The music immediately caught...

Laura Bow II - Detailed Plot Summary (Spoilers)

I found this well-written plot summary for The Dagger of Amon Ra years ago. I'm glad I had the presence of mind to save it, as I've searched online since then and can't find a trace of it. The author was listed as David Matchen, though I did make a few edits for clarity. I found this to be a solid e...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

I actually like Colonel's Bequest more than Dagger of Amon Ra, myself! Maybe because it's the whole house, thing? Seems like a more ... ideal situation for a crazy murder spree. (I also think it's because it had the cool secret passage ways where you could see or hear extra bits) I enjoy both...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Welcome to the forums, SHP! (Can I call you that? SHP = Semi-Happy Partygoer, and also Sierra Help Pages!) ;) Hey, new blood! Welcome! Thank you both. I'm thoroughly enjoying all this site has to offer. And Rath, SHP is a fine nickname. I hadn't even thought of the initial similarity when coming up...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

And welcome to the US! Thanks for the welcome! Actually, I'm from the US. I moved to Sydney, Australia a few years ago. Sorry for any confusion! I am one of the folks that's never understood those who disliked KQVII. Yes, it was much "easier" and less "exploring" that the previous games; but it was...

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Hi everyone. I've only just registered but have been a longtime visitor to the Sierra Help Pages. I'm currently based in Sydney but come from the U.S. Sierra games have been a part of my life for over 23 years now. My family got our first computer in 1994 or so, and King's Quest VII was the first ga...
