Flight of the Amazon Queen

An adventure game considered classical by some, with many obvious influences from LucasArts. Set in the 40's, the game has a pulp setting, complete with a seasoned hero, his comical sidekick, exotic locales, sexy women and a mad scientist with German accent. It reminded me of such works as 'Tales of...

Jacques Dijon?

This question is very special and is directed to anyone who is really into the CB plot and characters :) The CB plot and dialogues make clear that Colonel Henri and Ethel are siblings. There is also an unseen (dead?) brother who was the husband of Gertie and father of Rudy and Gloria. We know about ...

Re: Legality of downloads on Christy Marx's website.

I have been aware of Marx's site for some years. It is indeed old and rarely updated. I believe (pure speculation) that she just offers her work, hoping she doesn't harming anyone until someone tells her to stop. I can't help but remember that in the CoC manual she preaches a sermon about not copyin...

Re: Codename ICEMAN help

Hi there. There is not a particular puzzle here. Just try to avoid him. If he is there, just wait until he leaves. Walk when he is absent.

You can consider downloading and installing the portable version. You can move it anywhere you want without AFAIK any problems

Re: Different versions of Sierra Games

Some months earlier I had also posed a similar question :) the replies I received consented that there were no major changes between versions, and most of them had to do with bug fixes which you might never had seen anyway. There are a few exceptions of major changes, such as the old SQ I game which...

Re: Sierra Poll: Final Showdown (All Era Champions)

I chose CoC, although I know I will remain a minority. Not only for sentimental reasons, but I also think that CoC is one of the most detailed, deep, researched, well done and self-contained games ever. I believe that other games are equal or better, but CoC came earlier.

Quite a few years ago there was also a similar 'evolution of Larry' picture in a fan site. I can't find it any more and it's good that you made something similar :)

Re: Lucas adds changes to original Star Wars trilogy....AGAI

Although I sympathize with the purists who have linked the Star War movies with some important nostalgic emotion, I must confess that I also understand George Lucas Lucas actually tries to keep his saga alive and current. I am a person who believes that an artwork is never complete and some visions ...

Re: Unused screens from KQIV?

That is a correct point. However the second to fourth images look somehow incomplete compared to the first one. While the first one has horizon, many stars and some details on the sand, the following images seem to lack those details. Also, I don't know if you uploaded all of the island-at-night ima...

Re: Unused screens from KQIV?

During my present playthrough I am also doing screenshot-harvesting. While I was recently playing KQIV I remember my attempt to swim to the Island during night and capture some screenshots, yet I was always lost at sea. After some attempts I decided it was some kind of bug, or that designers never b...

Replaying

Must have been over 10 years since last time I played FP, and of course I see the world quite different now. When I was little I was interested mostly in riddles, their solutions and gags. However now I am also interested in the scenario and the 'richness' of a game. ;) Recently I begun playing FP a...
