Re: Favorite Character?

So far I think it's Penelope, when Freddy tries to talk to her, or shows her irrelevant inventory objects without any reason. She reacts as if Freddy is an alien, and keeps saying things like 'I worry about you... better avoid the sun, go back to your Pharmacy and have some rest, ok?' :D

Re: INCA I Help

I begun playing INCA in DOSBox... but there is an inherent problem: the manual says that the Restore/Load screen is activated with ctrl-F9, however this combination for DOSBox means "Quit". So I can't restore a previous game, since DOSBox always quits. Any ideas how can I avoid this? :S

Re: What was that old ASCII menu system creator called?

I have heard about a library called curses, and a 'free' version call ncurses for C.

Beyond that, I never experimented myself with this.

Fascination

Anybody has gone through this game? I found the 'sexy' factor of the game a little biased and immature, although some references can be funny. And the ending, quite original but pathetic in general. Actually I thought it was quite hollow compared to other adventure games of the time. And, like sever...

When a clueless reviewer attempts to review Larry 3

The title sounds as if it is funny story, but actually it made me quite angry. Just read this Larry 3 review from 1994 Amiga Power issue. Yes, the rating is 9/100!! The reviewer just haven't ever seen a Sierra game before, and is told to review one. No surprise http://amr.abime.net/amr_popup_picture...

Re: Is World of Warcraft In Trouble?

Just wanting to enter the discussion in order to note that I always have been against the trend of MMORPGs. What I want from some game is: *To be playable for free *To end *To have some plot to affect *To feel that my role makes a difference (eg. I did save the 'poor fishing village' from the bandit...

Re: Adventures that force you to do bad things.

How could I forget? In Larry 5 you have to snatch a coin from a tray for the poor. Later you find a forgotten green card and snatch it too. As the narration says: 'You feel remorse, but only for a moment'.
