Re: Leisure Suit Larry: Yank Hers Away-- A TP-like Remake Pr
Interesting idea, Lounge Lizard. To me, this sounds more like a "re-imagining" than a remake, especially considering that you want a version of LSL7 with a graphic style similar to TP, which was made earlier than Larry 7. I wouldn't say that TP and LSL7 have the same cartoon style, though. Torin's P...

Re: How Do You Open the Movie+Music Files in LSL7?
I've found Sierra Resource Viewer a bit clunky when it comes to viewing music and sound files, but it can do it. You can also try Game Audio Player, which can also play and extract the contents of AUD and SFX files.
As for the video files, try the VMD Player.

Re: Jacques Dijon?
I skimmed through the LB1 resource files back when this topic first appeared, but I couldn't find the name Jacques Dijon mentioned anywhere in the text. I don't think it appears anywhere in the game.

Re: Fascination
Wow -- I never knew there was a prequel to Ween: The Prophecy. Nice find, Marlene! For all of the surreality, weirdness and insane difficulty in most of Coktel Vision's games, though, I still find a strange sort of charm to most of them. Still, I haven't felt motivated to give Fascination a try yet....

Re: The Four Types of Adventure Game Heroes
(This temperament-switching idea might actually make for an interesting gimmick for an adventure game, now that I think about it...though I suspect it might have already been done in some form.) You would be correct, Akril; Westwood Studios' Legend of Kyrandia: Malcom's Revenge uses this idea as a ...

Re: The Four Types of Adventure Game Heroes
Hmm, this is a very interesting list. Nice work! To an extent, it reminded me of a short sci-fi story called "The Humours" wherein a schizophrenic man has his mind "cleaved" at a young age, with the extremely violent, temperamental, unpredictable parts of his personality separated from him, leaving ...

Re: AGS Awards 2011
Wow...
I was downright floored when my game got announced. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me!
This was also my very first attendance of a live AGS Awards ceremony, though I'm doubtful that any future ceremonies will be able to top this one.

Re: ScummVM vs DOSBox
I tend to prefer DOSBox because I've gotten so used to it over the years. I only use ScummVM for games that can't be run in DOSBox (at least not with my barely adequate skills), like Woodruff and the Schnibble.
(Plus, DOSBox has its own built-in video capture system, which is all kinds of awesome.)

Re: New LSL AGI fan game
I'm using Firefox, and the page shows up fine for me as well.
(By the way, I don't think this is a LSL fan game, though it definitely has that Larry-ish..."flavor" to it. There's also already been a thread posted about it here by the game's author.)

Has anyone heard about this book?
I'm not sure if there have been any topics about this yet, but I was on Google images and I discovered a page advertizing this very interesting-looking guide to adventure games. That's quite a comprehensive list of games (here's even some AGS titles towards the end), but what really grabbed my atten...

Re: It's Official!
I was just thinking about that earlier. You could really pull some kind of epic storyline out of all these gaming titans returning to our world. The only question involves figuring out who the villain is because I'm seeing nothing but good news all around. Indeed -- I've got lots of editing to do.....

Re: It's Official!
I just realized that the only downside to all these sudden amazing new adventure reunions and revivals is that I'll have to make a heck of a lot of changes to the plot of the third game in my Adventure series. (Yes, I'm working on it; no, I have no idea when it'll be done.)

Re: AGS Awards 2011
Well, the initial voting is over, and now it's time to vote for 1 out of 5 games in each category. VSB and the KQ3 remake are up for multiple nominations, so be sure to make your votes count.
(And oh my gosh...All in the Game actually got nominated for something!? *ecstatic face*)

Re: AGS Awards 2011
I voted a couple of days ago, and I was sure to cast my vote for VSB.
As for SQ2VGA, I had a look for it in the AGS game database, and found out that was added on January 3rd -- three days too late for it to qualify as a 2011 game.

Re: Larry 6: Cut babes and beta image?
So the other "babe" beyond the cheerleader girl (about which not much more seems to be known) would be Frau Milchlieb (which would mean "Miss Milk-loving"') then, as described in the design documents. She doesn't have a calendar page at all (for good reasons!): It does seem odd that Frau Mi...
