Re: Favorite Police Quest Game and Why?
not to mention driving in PQ1 (ega or vga) and PQ3 is suspectible to timing issues with newer machines. until i got the NewRisingSun patches for PQ3, driving at 5MPH was more like Warp 5 !!!!
and i also agree, Open Season was too drastic a change ... should not have had the PQ name on it.

Re: Monitors
my first computer was a Tandy Color Computer 2. i remember using it with a 300baud modem to dial into Sierra's BBS! I don't remember Sierra games on the Coco, we got a Tandy 1000 SX shortly afterwards and I played all the originals on that (SQ,KQ,LSL,PQ). (to add the topic back in) - i remember too ...

Re: Most frustrating Game Moment.
I'd include any game that forces the player to restart because they missed one little item. That's just poor game design. like that dang airsick bag in LSL2 ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, i dont know how many times i fell for that and find myself on the volcano before I noticed it. how hard would it have...

Re: A bit of fun...
Oh that's a little bit lame. try here: http://www.filedropper.com/gloryquest edit: got rid of the second one. the larger pixel size make it no bigger and just ruined the spacing of the characters. maybe there's a utility that can 'upsize' the letters ?? But this is a decent start maybe??? edit 2: ch...

Re: A bit of fun...
http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/fontstructions/show/gloryquest its a pixel-to-pixel replication. which i think is going to make it too small at normal sizes like 10 or 12pt to use in normal applications. i'll have to probably figure out how to make them 16x16 or 32x32 size in order to make them usab...

Re: A bit of fun...
Someone must have made that font at some point right? You'd have though! I found a site that had it in SCI format, for actual use in the game studio program. But nothing in truetype and I havent seen a SCI to TTF converter either (unlikely anyway) I might just have to figure out how to create a TTF...

Re: Saved Games
but what sort of guidelines should there be (if any). I'm going to try PQ3 soon (and I'll probably need a save for that bloody map puzzle) but I'd be willing to save mine for upload if i knew any specifics for doing them ...
or just best guess and if they help the user, great!?
