Re: Cheating in Games

I guess that is why I find FPS games so approachable (in a single player environment). Most of them have a difficulty level you choose up front - if you suck so horribly, just lower the difficulty. Re: The Official Book of King's Quest

My copy appears to be gone. Not sure if it got pitched in one of the 'clear the crap out the house' rampages that the wife and I occasionally go on. Bummer.

Re: The Official Book of King's Quest

Yeah, I think I have this book (somewhere). My copy covered the first 4 games (I specifically remember using it with KQ4).

Re: I can haz new shiny?

From a price perspective: I always go for 'middle-of-the-road' pricing when it comes to computers & computer components. I will never buy the cheapest or the most expensive - I instead look for where the most of products are grouped. This is an extremely unscientific way of doing it, but it has work...

Re: What are you playing now?

I'm playing the 'New Super Mario Bros' on the Wii, but I'll only play with help (two or more players). I just don't have the patience to get through it by myself.

Also play-testing point-and-click remake of 'The Black Cauldron'.

Re: Adventure Games: The Musical!

Doesn't one of the KQ games have the Christmas carol "What child is this?" as the intro song? Haven't played them in so long I don't remember which game though (maybe 1 or 4?). Not really a musical number, but a recognizable song...

Re: Aces Collection series 64 bit compatablity

Here's a long-shot, but could you run Windows 7 in XP Mode ? This requires Professional or Ultimate edition - and it is a virtualized environment, but hey could work. Like Collector said, if you don't have either of those editions, you could certainly download & install VMWare Player or VirtualBox (...

Re: Get Lamp

Can't wait to get my hands on this documentary. Sounds awesome. I'm actually in the process of porting text adventures (Infocom's specifically - however any z-machine file should work I hope) to SCI, all programatically. My goal is creating a tool that would (re)create all the game logic - the only ...
