Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)

Actually, I keep thinking that too. I don't know the studio name well enough to remember the acronym.

I've been avoiding playing it so far because I don't want to see it in that state. I really want to see the final, polished version of it.

Re: Break The Spine.

I've always liked fantasy and Autumn Twilight was one of the first fantasy books I bought, when I was eleven or twelve years old, after Black Trillium and The Hobbit / The Lord of the Rings . I totally forgot about the Trillium series! I recall quite liking those. I think I'll have to see if the li...

Re: Dragon Age III (Dragon Age Inquisition)

I think that DA2 would have been a much better game, if it hadn't been so rushed. I appreciated the more intimate story level and the way the companions actually responded to what was going on in your character's life (instead of just inappropriately ignoring it). Plus, I still liked Kirkwall, even ...

Re: Steam and GOG sales

Sanctum is a lot of fun! It's actually sort of relaxing during the pre-round setup, since you can take as much time as you want and the settings are quite attractive. It can be dangerous, if you're kind of OCD (like me), since then you want to make your defenses as efficient and well-planned as poss...

Wow, there are a number of really good images there. I especially like the surreal looking one with the sand and the doorways.

Re: Break The Spine.

My mom is a real reader as well. I definitely learned my love of books from her and we read a lot of the same books. As for current books, I've just finished the final book in a trilogy by Galen Beckett that I really, really enjoyed. Normally, I just get books from the library, but I'm contemplating...

Re: LucasArts, RIP (1982-2013)

That's disappointing. Not only for the loss of the in-progress SW games that looked promising, but also for the other IPs they owned. It's always aggravating when a company buys out another, only to close (part of) them down right away. :x Hopefully, they won't mind licensing them out to be worked o...

Re: What are you playing now?

Maia and I've been playing Orcs Must Die 2 together in co-op (story mode and endless mode) and it's a lot of fun! It's basically what you'd get if you combined a Tower Defense game and an Action-RPG. OMD2 is really fun! It has a bit of goofy humour and the gameplay is easy to learn. I like the fact...

Re: Dragon Age: Origins.

In some of the concept art (check out the wallpaper Tawmis posted a little earlier in this thread), they actually show Morrigan wearing the hood over her head, so maybe that's what the person was going from. I think she looks more closely like the concept art than the in-game Morrigan.

Re: Guild Wars question

You definitely want to go with Guild Wars 2, Rath. It is pretty easy to learn things in-game, even though the system is very different from other RPGs. People are generally helpful (or at worst indifferent) and group events can be a lot of fun, with everyone contributing and helping out. Most of the...

Re: Something about Dragon Age that I just found out...

I guess it makes sense to draw from mythology to create a fantasy religion. It certainly wouldn't be the first time someone has done it. It's a pretty good name and it sounds better than some of the made up ones.

That's hardcore! I personally prefer a fake karate chop, accompanied by a Miss Piggy-like "HI-YAH!!". :D
