Re: Mass Effect 3...
I've mostly been playing the single-player lately (no rush, since I want it to last), but I have occasional bursts of OCD multi-player playing. Yesterday, I played it way too much, since I'm determined to unlock a better sniper rifle. Of course, most of the weapons I do get in random unlocks are one...

Yeah, dealing that type of customer is so wonderful. I never understand how they actually have the nerve to get angry when you want the money they owe you. They knowingly entered into the deal/contract/obligation.

Re: Protagonist: Silent vs Voiced
I would want fully voiced. With the option, as in most games, to turn down specific volumes (including music, sound effects, and voices). So if you don't want voices, and want to hear it all in your head, then mute the voices. Options is always the best way to go. But it's not the least bit surpris...

Re: Protagonist: Silent vs Voiced
For RPGs, I'm a little on the fence about this one, leaning slightly towards voiced, just because I've seen it better implemented. If they could have the character unvoiced and it didn't break the immersion or make the dialogues seem lacking, I wouldn't have a problem with it. However, I felt they w...

Re: Mass Effect 3...
Maiandra and Virtuelle were both already taken on origin. How dare they! I know! The cheek! :P Actually, it is a bit of a hassle, because I have to keep coming up with new names and it gets confusing for people that know me in more than one community. Of course, I don't know that many people ...

Re: Mass Effect 3...
DPX is DeadPoolMK and I'm ThiefVirtuelle on Origin. We're adding you! At least we're all in the same timezone.
Unfortunately, I never have very original online names, so Maiandra and Virtuelle were both already taken on origin.

Re: Break The Spine.
I've been catching up on Mercedes Lackey's different series lately and enjoying them. I hadn't read a novel based in Valdemar for a while. Plus, she had this really cool novella about a supernatural haunting of an MMORPG, which was a fun bit of urban fantasy. I also just read a Kim Harrison graphic ...

I like it. Very much. The atmosphere is incredible, very Lynch-like, and the writing is really top-notch.
Hmm. That sounds promising. I might have to look into that after I'm finished with Mass Effect 3.

Re: Hey DPX / Mai
Even though we already found out about it, we still appreciate the heads up, Tawm! We might not have seen the notice and the we'd have missed out.
Honestly, I can hardly wait to get my hands on the character creator.

Re: What are you playing now?
Thanks for the offer DP and Maia, but we don't even have a PS3, so that's a no on Portal 2. I've personally been trying to wean myself off MMOs and sticking to non-online stuff. And ... well, he's been looking at all his older stuff too, to see if he can even run it on the new computers. I'm not a ...

Re: What are you playing now?
I'm redoing the ending of Mass Effect 2 , in preparation for Mass Effect 3 . So many good single-player games in the last 12 months! Well, we finally got off the World of Warcraft kick in the house (5 years? 6?) and are now either going back to old stuff (hello, QFG and GK) or looking into something...

Re: Mass Effect 3...
Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too. The cover system will take some getting used to as will the perspective, but I think it was good overall and I'm really looking forward to having a good single-player game with a great story.
