...and there was much rejoicing! *waves flags to the shouting of "Yay."* ;)

Would anyone care for a grilled filet of minstrel?

When it comes to spelling/grammar, how pedantic are you? ;-)

The question says it all. ;-) I've been posting on message boards forever (ever since 1996 or 1997, I think), and obviously not everyone's English (or whatever language you post in) is perfect. But when you post, do you check your own spelling and/or grammar, never mind someone else's? ;) I don't me...

Re: Burnout 3 on classic XBOX + Starbreaker = ZOMG, it's 3:45am?

What does 'ZOMG' actually stand for? *confused* I know that 'OMG' = 'Oh My God' and 'OMFG' = 'Oh My F***ing God', but where does the Z come in? *blinkblink*

Re: Order of the Stick (OOTS)

Yep, I used to play D&D 2nd Edition way back when, but I couldn't make head or tail of it. D&D 3.5 made a whole lot more sense, particularly as I was playing NWN1 about the same time. ;) I'm not sure what to make of D&D 4 yet. Still... for my D&D-style comics, I read either Knights of the Dinner Tab...

Where-ever did you find that? I searched and searched and never found it... :(

Re: Dragon Age: Origins.

I have had my eye on this one for a little while, but I'm not sure if my computer can handle it. :| Specifically, my key concern is my video card, since I'm running with a Radeon 9550. Everything else is not a problem - I have sufficient disk space, RAM and processing power (although I'm still runni...

Re: Order of the Stick (OOTS)

Yep, I know of it. I had a look at some of the archives, but I thought that Freefall, O&M, Sabrina-Online, SJ, Class Menagerie etc. are funnier. ;)

Re: Grim Fandango

OK... oops. *blush* Thanks for the correction, Collector! :) I'll keep those two in mind and check back every so often. Thanks again! :) Incidentally, regarding those 3 games you mentioned... have you (or anyone else here) played them before? I hadn't played them before, although I've certainly hear...

Re: Grim Fandango

Ah! :) Now I get it. Thanks, Collector! :D MI3 now works perfectly. Yay! :D I also see that ScummVM supports Grim Fandango and Discworld II, both of which I have. I'll have to try them out. Thanks again for your help! :)

Re: Grim Fandango

Erm... I'm not trying to install them in ScummVM. I used the mixnmojo installer to install the game, and then I tried the mixnmojo launcher to launch the game - but that gave me sound stutter, as I said before.

This is why I'm trying ScummVM, but the files don't show up... :(

Any ideas?

Re: Grim Fandango

Well, this is odd... :? I tried to find those files yesterday in the folder that I installed the game to (D:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Curse\ ). When I looked at that folder in Windows Explorer, all the right files were there. But when I looked at the folder in ScummVM, I could not see those files at ...

Re: Grim Fandango

Thanks, dotkel! :) I've completed Grim Fandango today - basically, the game would work without stutter when I turned on Windows 98 support, but I had to turn it off for Cutscenes. I'll try it with the imagecfg file. Thanks again! :) Collector, I'm not sure how ScummVM works at all. :( I read the FAQ...

Re: Grim Fandango

Err... I'm not sure what that means. :( I have the original MI3 CDs, and I used the installer file and launcher from the mixnmojo site - is that what you're referring to, Collector? I still get sound stutter regardless. Thanks for the linky, dotkel! :) I tried it out - the link to the imagecfg file ...

Re: Grim Fandango

Hmm... I tried this, and Grim Fandago worked perfectly after a few tries! However, MI3 is still not working for me. :( I constantly get random audio problems (e.g. Guybrush looking at Wally and saying "That's the cutest pirate I've ever seen. Ever seen. Ever seen. Ever seen." etc., ad naus...

Re: Merry Christmas!

BBP and Tawmis, I'm so sorry to hear your Christmases weren't so good. *sends hugs and positive vibes* I hope the rest of the holiday season goes better for you! :) I did three concerts leading up to Christmas - Handel's Messiah (the 4th in 4 years); a nice carols concert (including some traditional...
