Kitarak wrote: Hope this is OK to post here - this is not really Sierra related, but for you adventure fans, there is a GREAT adventure game sale on GOG.com this weekend. Around 75% off a number of newer point & click adventure titles. I will definitely be picking up a few of these! ... I'd link but you should use the affiliate banner... :)
Just to answer; yes, it's okay.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will check these out! Can't go wrong for less than $5 :)

Thanks! Still figuring the site out - have you played any of these titles? Any gems in the list?

There is a thread for GOG amd Steam sales: http://sierrahelp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1495

Note, I'll be merging this with the stickied thread, but wanted to give heads up first.

Don't worry about it, just trying to keep things tidy.

Of that list; I've not played any of those!

Edit: Merged the thread.

Yesterday, several Sierra games were added to Steam. I posted here about it, but then reconsidered and deleted the post. Today, however, we see the reason: the games are also available in a Humble Bundle. That's more worth mentioning.

Yeah I came here to mention the Humble Bundle Sale. I'm pretty much going to buy it later this week.

I was sad to see the Quest for more Glory forums are down for the moment. I should get active again here and there.

Twinsen's Odyssey (Little Big Adventure 2 in Europe) is free for a limited time on GOG.

Nice. I already own the "Sierra Classic" stuff, myself. But for anyone who doesn't - this is a really good deal.

There's a Classic Sierra Bundle on Steam. It's a "complete the set" type bundle, so you don't have to pay for games in it you already own on Steam.

The holiday sale will be soon, so I'm not buying it yet. This is just an early heads-up.

Very cool. I got them all on GOG.com (my preference over the two) already! But always nice to see these going on sale and giving folks to check these games out.

Also remember that the KQ, SQ, PQ and LSL Steam releases are the same as the highly flawed 2006 VU collections, but are a way to get the SCI remakes of the first games. The GOG releases just have the original AGI versions of the first games. I would note that it has been reported that my 2006 VU patches do work for the Steam releases. I did do a patch for the GOG KQ release, but none of the others. Someone told me that the Steam QfG release is not as good as my GOG release. I have no more information about any other Steam Sierra releases.
