I know you can subscribe/bookmark topics, but I'd also like a way to completely ignore them. In other words, so they never appear to me.
Nah. So it will be impossible to ignore threads from me.

Well, the photos of Odin weren't too bad. My problem was with that odd person in most of them. :P

Strange.. What is the auto-logoff timer set to? Can I change it? In recent days I have found myself being "logged out" within minutes of opening up the webpage. What's even more weird is that I *thought* hat I had it set to "Log me on automatically each visit."

Is anyone else experiencing this?

thanks,
..dane

It is happening elsewhere as well... Chase Home Theater Forum as well as AVS Forum. It has been happening about a week or two.. I think it may be related to HTTPS Everywhere (v0.2.2).

I have disabled HTTP Everywhere for now and will see if the problem persists.

That hasn't happened to me and I have HTTPS Everywhere on both my desktop and laptop. I have been logged out (without doing it myself) at various intervals, but that was long before I ever installed that particular extension.

I think message boards tend to log people out after a while. Not sure why, but that's been my experience with every board I've ever been on.

There is a setting (within PHPBB) that admins can set how long to log people out. Just don't remember where it is in the newest version of PHPBB or else I'd double check it.

There are no limits set for login for SHP. Once you are logged in you will stay logged in if you have the "Keep me logged in" setting selected. If you delete your cookies (or use some security/privacy software that does this automatically) you will need to login again. If you have this selected and you do not stay logged in, there is something else going on with your PC.

Well I haven't had the problem since Thursday or so ... maybe it's fixed? HTTPS Everywhere is re-enabled too. I did clear out all the cookies, maybe something funky was going on. But that fact that it was happening on almost every forum I frequent, it was getting really weird..

cheers,

So, where have the 'SCI Tools & Utilites' & 'Older SCI Tools' pages wandered off to? I know the SCI Wiki has some of them, but I don't think it's got all the downloads that these pages had...

Those are the pages I seek! BTW - In the past I was able to perform a search to find the tools pages, but now I get the dreaded 404. Thanks!

That is probably because I moved them all to my SCI folder when they used to be in with the utilities. I didn't have them linked to much of anything, so I didn't worry about breaking anything, but the search index needs to recache the site to reflect it. Just use the links above until get it all sorted out.
