Try this. I have used it on machines that have been unprotected or under protected with great success.

I just installed and ran AdAware and it found a trojan. Dispensed of it properly and now my internet works great. Images are showing up properly and I can Google the word Reset again! lol No idea what caused it, though.

It has become so easy to become infected these days. Even if you avoid the bad sites, it seems that even trusted sites can become hacked and infected. Just visiting one of these sites can get you.

It's really gotten to the point where you need to dual-boot your machine with Windows and Linux. I know that if enough people moved to Linux, it'd eventually become a primary target for infection as well, but that probably wouldn't happen for quite a while.

You should run Noscript with Firefox. It blocks any scripts for running, including Firefox. You can temporarily or permanently allow specific domains. And if you don't use Java much, you should disable Java plugins too. I suspect the few viruses I've gotten just from visiting formerly trusted sites were caused by Java vulnerabilities. You should try other virus scanners too and investigate further because if you have a trojan, there might be other things that haven't been detected yet.

SQL

This might not be the right place for this, I was looking for a way to contact whoever made this site, or who can edit the walkthroughs.

I have just started to play Phantasmagoria 2 puzzle of flesh, and had to turn to the awesome walkthrough here because I am terrible at point and click adventure games. Even though I love them so much, I get stuck quite horribly. Playing with your walkthrough I have noticed one thing to be missing so far.

If you havn't played Phantasmagoria 2 yet and want too then stop eading because:
***SPOILERS!!!!!!***
I would like a few small changes made to the walkthrough:

In chapter one, before you put in the password "blob" add for the player to call himself, there is a little scene of him talking to himself.

Then after the "Blob" password is entered and the ghost slaps him, call yourself again for a nice surprise.

I know that every little different video can't be added for the walkthrough, and using it means you wont see deaths. But it would be nice if there was a "directors cut" that told me where some of these extra gem lay.

I feel like no matter how much I play these games and experiment I will miss scenes, because I just don't think to even try some actions.
Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. I love these games, and wanted to bore you guys with a tale of a guy that just rediscovered all these little gems from the nintys.

It may be about time to start nagging Arvixe to move us to a new server. The database server on this server has always had issues. I have not seen errors lately, but database queries occasionally can be slow.

Well it seemed to clear after about 30 minutes. Not had it since.

Hey folks. Would like your help. The forum, as you know, has the occasional hiccup - where it times out, gives you an error, something.

Here's where I need your help. If you can, copy and paste the error into a text file, and the estimated time it happened. When you do get access to the forum again, please post that error in this thread.

I want to begin documenting it again to show the provider the problem persists.

Today it happened to me, around 1:50am. Error:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Chatted with support about the error.
Adarsh Achari: Hello, and thank you for contacting Arvixe live chat! If I appear unresponsive for an extended period of time it is very likely that you have disconnected from the live chat service, please try rejoining if this happens.
01:55Tawmis: Hello, the SierraHelp.com forums have been dealing with an issue where the forum CONSTANTLY times out with an error:
01:55Tawmis: Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

01:55Tawmis: This is CONSTANT.
01:55Tawmis: Doesn't matter what time - day or night.
01:56Adarsh Achari: Let me know the exact Url having issue
01:56Tawmis: sierrahelp.com/forums/
01:56Tawmis: http://sierrahelp.com/forums/
01:56Tawmis: It's up right now. But 2 minutes ago, it wasn't.
01:56Tawmis: And this error is COMMON on the forum.
01:57Adarsh Achari: A moment please
01:57Tawmis: Sure.
01:57Tawmis: I co-admin the forum. {Collector} is the one who runs the actual site. But I know he's reached out to support - repeatedly - about this same issue.
01:58Adarsh Achari: May I have your billing username?
01:58Tawmis: That I am not sure of. {Collector}, who runs the site, would have that information. I just co-admin the forum.
02:00Adarsh Achari: Ok, I will open a ticket with our server team for a detailed check and will update you soon via mail
02:01Tawmis: That'd be excellent.
02:01Tawmis: We have a whole thread dedicated to problems with the forum.
02:02Tawmis: anyway, will look forward to that email from the support team.
02:02Tawmis: Thanks!
02:02Tawmis: Have a great day/night!
*Note: I changed Collector's real name to {Collector} above when I posted the chat here (didn't say his name was Collector during chat... just was not sure if he wants his real name out there or not, so...) :D

For the past couple of weeks I have been collecting screenshot to document the errors. I figured that if I could inundate them with all of the errors they might actually try to locate who is causing the problem. I am sure that it is one of the other sites on the server that frequently eats up all of the database server.

I am surprised that they have not contacted me. Perhaps they are sick of dealing with me. Remember, this is not a forum issue, but a database issue as both Wikis suffer from the same issues, serving up 500 and 503 errors. I have been around and around with them through multiple tickets until they give up or the problem temporarily lets up, only to return at a later time. I have asked to be moved to another server to get away from whoever is eating up all of the database server resources, but they say the site is now too large for their script to move automatically.
