I'm pleased to announce that Al Lowe and I will be working together on a new project, our first since about 1994: Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded. A top-to-bottom reboot of the original LSL, we're working with Sierra alums Leslie Balfour, Sabine Duvall, and Paul Trowe of Replay Games. We're funding through Kickstarter

OK, now, so two questions...

1. The KickStarter page mentions the words "When the game ships..." Am I right in assuming that, when the game is finished, it will be shipped out to game stores and I could purchase it that way? Or will it only be available through Steam or similar?

2. I watched the Al Lowe video... and he got to the part of the Sierra OnLine door, which opened into a vast, grey wasteland. I assume this is because Sierra OnLine no longer exists... sigh... I'm right, aren't I? Boy, that's depressing.

That's what I gathered as well. As far as I know, no Kickstarter game has actually been sold commercially in stores. Physical copies have been sent to certain people who donated enough to get them, but otherwise, everything's been digital.
