SWAT 3: Elite Edition

SWAT 3: Elite Edition 1.6.6.0 Update (swat3_16up_us) (ZIP file) [52.5 MB]

The SWAT3_166up_US.exe updates all North American versions of SWAT 3: Elite Edition to incorporate the latest changes and improvements, including those introduced in the 1.6.0.0 update (SWAT3_14to16.exe). In addition, it adds Mission M (Phoenix Club) to the Scenario Editor, and addresses the following problems:

Client hang when connecting to WON.net, necessitating Ctrl+Alt+Delete to reinitialize the game.

Operations menu screen lag resulting from the Host changing some mission parameters.

Sound-related crashes that drop the client from chat rooms.

Scenario Editor incompatibility with Windows ME (an unsupported OS) and memory usage issues on all operating systems.

Extended entries in chat windows causing problems with line scroll.

This update is required only for online play; it can be automatically downloaded and applied by logging on for SWAT 3: Elite Edition Internet play, or downloaded manually via the links on this page.

This file updates SWAT 3: Elite Edition to include all the latest changes and improvements included in the SWAT 3 Tactical Game of the Year product (minus the content included with the Advanced Tactics CD). This update is required for online play only. Important: To install this file, you must have SWAT 3: Elite Edition or SWAT 3 Version 1.6 installed. If you are a SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle owner, you must first download and install the Multiplayer Update for SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle before you upgrade to version 2.0.
